Life after 27th March 1993

Life of my family changed drastically after the revolutionary step taken by my father, Hari Singh on 27th march 1993. He tried his best to deliver his message, but fell victim to the system we have woven since British invaded our administration and ruled us according to their pleasure.

As my father wasn’t an exception and emotions don’t fetch you the daily bread, so my family’s hardships began. It was like living in a cyclone hit village which had no access to the basic amenities and we were left to start life afresh as my father was in captivity. He didn’t intend to harm anyone and he never did, he has been a principle driven ordinary teacher who was always motivated by the sense of patriotism instilled in him. He just tried to feel the pain of his fellow brothers and sisters, as he never differentiated between people of his motherland on the basis of caste, creed, & religion. He has been a man who always had his values deeply embedded in his heart and soul.

Somebody who felt all the colors of Indian flag with same affection. My Father has lived his life with Gandhian thought, with a hope of a better India, a dream which our father of the nation saw, and his successors believed in.

Pandit Nehru said, “Who lives if India dies?” My father’s only crime is that he followed the founding fathers of this nation and cared for the life of this infant republic, because he knew the significance of the struggle our forefathers did, to attain freedom for this country. The beginning of 1993 witnessed communal hatred like never before, not even at the time of partition of India, thankfully the casualties didn’t correspond.

My father just followed his heart and went ahead to save the country from the emerging danger of communalism, he out rightly did what his conscience believed was logical, he just wanted to give an eye-opener to the corrupt system which was a failure to control violence. My father did his duties for motherland well, but our family has been suffering since then, our education, household, & family expenses have been met in a manner only god knows.

My father never thought about the future of his family, the life we would be living having him in captivity, but my family has to think a hundred times before making a simple purchase. He didn’t care about his life and put the nation’s interest first, but life has changed and we are left to live the change and it’s painful for sure. Help me to make a better future for a patriot’s family, help him to find justice.
