Bring My Father Out of Bars.

The days were joyful and colourful in the early phase of my school , like other children  I would love to play with kids and celebrate each occasion with them. Those early days of my life were really wonderful and my mother used to fascinate me with fairytales and their fancy world. I was in the wonder zone of those wonderful days, free from all sorrow and grief. The only thing which seldom pinched me is the recurrent absence of my father due to his frequent and long business visits.

Whenever I craved for him, my mother pacified me saying "Darling, he is working whole heartedly for you and your brother, he wants to see all of us happy and contented and for this he spends most of his time outside the home. He promised me soon he will bring some exotic clothes for you and Utsav, and of course dozens of Barbie dolls to decorate your room.” Utsav, my brother who is four year older to me was much matured to his age. He was not that much pushy and demanding and would spend most of his time in study and helping the mother in household chores.

Things got drastically changed when I entered in class six, the emotionally weak nanaji
(Grandfather) couldn't resist himself from the emotional outburst and vented out his pain in my numb presence. My ears which were hardly ever attentive to the world 'Jail' got echoed by his deep shriek and a shivering silence. The very night I saw the flowing eyes of my mother but her tears eroded the layer of misconception which was eventually developed when I heard the black word - Jail. She unearthed the virtuous truth that her father is victim of circumstances who stood against injustice and fought against corruption, he is an apostle of peace.

Hari Singh my father born in a middle class family of Haryana, adopted by her elder sister in Delhi for better care and education. Started his career as a teacher in 1980 then switched to freight forwarding company in 1984 and finally initiated his own business where he couldn't move forward due to the corrupt system and lack of support from the people whom he had trusted a lot. Latter, he purchased a truck through bank loan and become self employed, things were getting normalised then misfortune encircled him again in January 1991. While carrying the consignment of a blue chip company of Rs. 45 lakh worth had an accident. Both police and the consigner started to harass him and his truck was ceased for nearly eight months.

The men of the mettle Hari Singh remained tough and calm during those challenging days, but it was the deceased political system, corruption in government machinery and weakening of social thread between the different communities of the nations due to the age old 'divide and rule' policy of politics monger shattered him totally.

On 27 March 1993 circumstances compelled him to took a rebellious step to end this dirty politics in the nation which was heading on the inhuman ground. My father Hijacked IC - 439 an Indian Airline plane just to show his concern on rising corruption and communal hatred in the country and appealed people to stand against these issues in a peaceful manner in order to regain growth, justice and communal harmony in the country.
The court has given the verdict; life time imprisonment. Now, I want to know your verdict not on legal, but on human ground that you want see him behind the bars or in my home, where I am waiting my father for years.
