I have read in books that there is always an end to every start, a promised morning to every night, and an obvious homecoming after every exile, but in my case the agony doesn’t seem to end, the night doesn’t seem to get over, the exile doesn’t seem to reciprocated by a homecoming. The People of Ayodhya celebrated Diwali when Lord Rama returned to his home after an exile of 14 years, and now the entire world celebrates Diwali as an occasion when the world was saved from the atrocities of Ravana, the tyrant King of Lanka. My Father, Hari Singh, has always been an idealistic person who chose to stick to his principles in whatever conditions life had put him into; he never compromised with the corruption existing in the system and was highly respected by everyone who knew him. Today being a social activist means an identity and respect. Today, an activist is someone who is frequently in news for some or the other reason, my father never cared for publicity, all he was concerned about the welfare of the nation.
My Father has been falsely framed in cases for the crime he never committed, and has been sent on an exile that never seems to end. I and my family want justice for him, which is the constitutional right of every innocent citizen. A fair trial of every citizen of India who is in need of relief when fighting for justice; my father has not been allowed that one chance to prove his innocence. We want an end to the agonies my family has been living in, we want a full stop to the adversities my father has been living with, and we want a long awaited homecoming.
I request you all to be my voice in this quest for justice, the system has gone deaf and we need to scream louder to get ourselves heard by them, today this is happening to me and my family, it could be anyone’s turn tomorrow. Let’s pledge that we won’t be allowing this to happen to anyone ever again. Let’s pledge to ensure a homecoming of my father who fought for all. I want your support in this crusade against injustice & bring my father home.
